Listed below are links to weblogs that reference My Muxtape:

Nice image, but look - the tape is not connected to the other reel.
Or does it just have a clear leader?(that's a fishing term - what was that non-audio piece of plastic called at either end of the gray data-bearing tape?)

Ah - a clear leader. So many possibilities . . .
We could use one! - and I'm reminded of the 5 cents worth of advice I gave away on the radio yesterday:
Don't overestimate the elasticity of your metaphor.
This means you, Mikey.

Yike(s) - now I'm intrigued. Heard your muxtape and clicked on "Q-Bert/Redworm". IS that where your nom-de-web originally came from? OR was it the translation (transliteration?) of your phone #? OR just an amazing coincidence?

1. Hear sample at start of Q-Bert track.
2. Use it as my voicemail message [the key was the part that goes "Who-who are you, and where do you come from?"]
3. People start calling me Redworm.
4. Use it as nom-de-web.
5. Get the closest phone number to it that I can. I was able to get "worm" (9676) in the 650 area code (SF Bay peninsula). "Red" (733) was unavailable, but I got "ego," (346) even weirder and more self-referential!
